The Human-Centered Technologies unit studies, designs, develops and tests innovative information systems, focusing particularly on the needs and behaviors of the persons who interact with them. The multidisciplinary expertise of the group starts from research in the field of Human-centered Computing and Applied Computing, and focuses on Web technologies and applications for mobile systems. The fields of application include sectors of national and international strategic interest such as Public Administration, School, Health and Wellness, Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
Thanks to its study and cooperation group dedicated to that issue, the unit conducts also technological, technical-political and legal analysis on "digital governance", bringing ideas and proposals into national and international processes on the Internet governance.
