{"id":1092,"date":"2021-06-22T16:02:30","date_gmt":"2021-06-22T14:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hct.iit.cnr.it\/?page_id=1092"},"modified":"2021-07-14T15:45:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T13:45:54","slug":"aip-lab","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hct.iit.cnr.it\/en\/activities\/aip-lab\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessibility, Inclusion &#038; Prevention (AIP) Lab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2003, IIT-CNR has collaborated with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.isti.cnr.it\" target=\"_blank\">ISTI-CNR<\/a> in the <strong>study and testing of interfaces, applications and systems accessible for users with disabilities<\/strong>, and in designing and creating new technological tools. Since 2014, the focus has expanded, orienting itself towards ICT systems to support health prevention and the well-being of people with a user-centered approach.<br><br>In April 2021 we created <strong>the joint Laboratory on Accessibility, Inclusion &amp; Prevention<\/strong>, with the aim of developing new transversal research projects exploiting the specific skills of the IIT, ISTI and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ifc.cnr.it\" target=\"_blank\">IFC<\/a> Institutes inside the CNR Research Area of Pisa. This synergy allows us to enhance our skills and design effective and more usable solutions, thanks to participatory design techniques that include all stakeholders.<br><br>The areas of interest include <strong>the identification and creation of tools for prevention, rehabilitation<\/strong>, and more generally for people&#8217;s health and psychological well-being; the study and implementation of tools and assistive technologies to support school inclusion and the achievement of skills to improve daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activities also include specialized university and professional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><br><span style=\"color:#003157\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Ongoing activities<\/strong><\/span><br><br><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Survey on the emotions of students after the lockdown and Distance Learning due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/suoniamo-stage.iit.cnr.it\/\">Suoniamo<\/a> Project:<\/strong> a free accessible web app to support children with autism spectrum disorder in learning the basics of music and playing simple pieces on the piano.<\/li><li><strong>Carpet Diem Project:<\/strong> Playful interactive system that uses a gym mat and dance choreographies to be performed to the rhythm of music as a motivational factor to promote the simultaneous co-training of cognitive and motor skills in users with intellectual disabilities.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my-dentist.herokuapp.com\/\">MyDentist<\/a> Project: <\/strong>an accessible web app to support dentistry and promote the oral health of children and teenagers with autism spectrum disorder.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><br><strong><span style=\"color:#003157\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Team<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IIT-CNR: <\/strong>Marina Buzzi, M.
